Fedora-based image that includes an LXDE desktop environment, a VNC server and AnyDesk.
209
This Dockerfile creates a Fedora-based image that provides a complete LXDE desktop environment along with a VNC server and the integrated AnyDesk application. This combination allows users to remotely access a Fedora graphical environment from any location, facilitating both administration and software development tasks.
The LXDE desktop environment provides a lightweight and efficient graphical interface, ideal for server environments and remote use. The VNC server configured in the image allows remote connection via the VNC protocol, allowing users to view and control the Debian desktop from compatible VNC clients, such as RealVNC, TightVNC, among others.
This configuration is ideal for system administrators and developers who need remote access to a full Linux environment with graphical capabilities, providing flexibility and efficiency in server management, application testing, and software development in controlled and secure environments.
Container Run: To run the container and access the graphical environment via VNC:
docker run -itd --rm --name vnc_fedora --hostname fedora -p 5901:5901 vnc_fedora_lxde
Container Access: Run the container and run the script to raise VNC Server
docker exec -it vnc_fedora /bin/bash
./start-vnc-sh &
VNC To access the desktop environment using VNC, you can use a VNC client (for example, RealVNC) and connect to:
Distribution: localhost:5901
