A hook for FireTV that monitors home button press in the ADB log and starts an app accordingly.
6.0K
Thanks to daavm for the original script and idea. Original XDA thread.
This image executes a simple script that will monitor the HOME button press on a FireTV and start an application when detected. It is based on Alpine to be lightweight.
There are two parameters controlled by environment variables:
com.wolf.firelauncher/.screens.launcher.LauncherActivityGenerally speaking, use the following command :
docker run -it --net=host -e FIRETV_HOST=<IP.ADDR> -e FIRETV_LAUNCHER=<APP> mimeau/firetv-hook
e.g. docker run -it --net=host -e FIRETV_HOST=192.168.1.17 -e FIRETV_LAUNCHER=com.wolf.firelauncher/.screens.launcher.LauncherActivity mimeau/firetv-hook
(here the FIRETV_LAUNCHER env is optional because it's using the default one).
-it starts the image in interactive mode, this will allow you to kill the script with CTRL+C.
If you're using docker-compose, here's a sample:
