mincoin/explorer-mainnet repository overview

This container includes Mincoin Wallet Release 0.14.3.

The image was created for Linux Ubuntu 16.04 (Xenial) and was only tested in that environment. Testing has shown that a 2 CPU / 4GB RAM VPS is needed as a minimum. Vultr offer competitive solutions - https://www.vultr.com/?ref=8062180

HTTPS has been disabled in the image as an image can not be created unless the certificate details are known. Port 3000 needs to be open for the web-server, and to optionally make your Mincoind accessible, also open port 9334.

Two additional files need to be installed before you can run the image. These are located at https://github.com/gotaproblem/docker-explorer-mainnet.git

To run

 docker-compose -f docker-compose.yml -f docker-compose.override.prod.yml up

To use

 http://[your IP address or domain]:3000/

NOTES

1) First run will likely error, but it is important to leave it running so as to fully sync the Mincoin Wallet.
To monitor the Wallet sync -
    sudo watch tail -n1 /data/mincoin-mainnet/debug.log
This will take several hours.
The process can be made quicker by downloading the latest official bootstrap.dat.
    sudo -i
    cd /data/mincoin-mainnet
    wget https://github.com/mincoin/mincoin/releases/download/v0.14.3/Mincoin-2432033-bootstrap.dat
    mv Mincoin-2432033-bootstrap.dat bootstrap.dat
Exit from root user
    exit
Stop the image CNTL C CNTL C
Restart image
    docker-compose -f docker-compose.yml -f docker-compose.override.prod.yml up

2) The Mongo Database will be built in the background - every transaction since the dawn of the Mincoin blockchain will be added.
This process is slow, typically taking a day. The Block Explorer should be usable though
