DebateFlow

DebateFlow helps debate clubs run rounds faster with streamlined registration, room allocation, and polished presentation exports.

Supabase setup

  1. Create a new Supabase project.
  2. Enable Email/Password auth in Supabase Auth settings.
  3. Run the SQL migrations in supabase/migrations in order (or use the Supabase CLI with supabase db push).
  4. Copy the Project URL and Publishable Key from Supabase Project Settings -> API.
  5. Create a .env file with:
    VITE_SUPABASE_URL="https://YOUR-PROJECT.supabase.co"
    VITE_SUPABASE_PUBLISHABLE_KEY="your-publishable-key"

Run locally (npm)

  1. Install dependencies:
    npm install

  2. Start the dev server:
    npm run dev

  3. Open http://localhost:5173.

Run locally (Docker)

  1. Build the image:
    docker build -t debateflow .

  2. Run the container with runtime env vars:
    docker run -p 8080:80 \
      -e VITE_SUPABASE_URL="https://YOUR-PROJECT.supabase.co" \
      -e VITE_SUPABASE_PUBLISHABLE_KEY="your-publishable-key" \
      debateflow

  3. Open http://localhost:8080.

Note: the Docker entrypoint writes these env vars into public/env.js so the app can read them at runtime.
