FATER is a system for automated interlibrary loan, and for getting publisher pdf's from bibliographic information via the publishers website. For access to non Open Access material, you need of course a subscription.

When used as an Inter Library Loan Server, the pdf's are transferred as Fax images between FATER instances

Note: You need to register a free Crossref Account and password, which must be specified as an environment variable, e.g. docker run -d --name fater -e Doi_crossrefuser=xxx -e Doi_crossrefpass=xxxx -p 80:80 -p 443:443 mkoehler/fater
