Image with OpenOCD ready to run and accept local and remote gdb, tcl and telnet connections
579
12.x, latest12.0.4The image has been prepared to run OpenOCD only with the goal to keep the container as small as possible. it is build from source but using the stm32 version with the goal to support the STM32 family of microcontrollers.
By default to container will run the cotnianer with a root user, but this will change in the future. To run the container make sure to use the --device flag to map the USB ports to the container, and the -p flag to map the port 3333 to the host computer.
docker run -it --rm --device=/dev/bus/usb:/dev/bus/usb -p 3333:3333 modularmx/openocd:latest
Once the container is running, you can connect to the OpenOCD server as you usualy do with OpenOCD installed in a host computer the only thing to taken into account is the IP address assigned to the container. for instance with the following line OpenOCD will wait a GDB connection on the port 3333 and the IP address 172.17.0.3
openocd -f board/st_nucleo_g0.cfg -c "bindto 172.17.0.3"
