pg_mooncake is a PostgreSQL extension that adds native columnstore tables with DuckDB execution. Columnstore tables are stored as Iceberg or Delta Lake tables in object storage. This extension is maintained by Mooncake Labs and is also available on Neon.

Quick Start:

Start a PostgreSQL container with the pg_mooncake extension:

docker run --name mooncake -e POSTGRES_HOST_AUTH_METHOD=trust -d mooncakelabs/pg_mooncake

Connect to the running container using psql:

docker run -it --rm --link mooncake:postgres mooncakelabs/pg_mooncake psql -h postgres -U postgres
