The intention of the image is to provide the containerized C++ Dev Environment for usage with VS Code Remote Development or CLion Full Remote Mode. Using this approach you are free of Host OS choose, packages increase and performance overhead (in comparison to the usage of Virtual Machines).
The image has configured sshd according to the docker docs.
docker run -d -P --name preferred_container_name morheit/cpp-dev-env
docker run -d -P --mount type=bind,source="/path/on/local/computer",target="/path/in/container" --name preferred_container_name morheit/cpp-dev-env
