Documentation · GitHub · Releases · Report an issue

Features

  • Multiple sources: combine M3U, Xtream Codes, XMLTV and Stremio Live TV addons.
  • Programme guides: use XMLTV and supported guide providers.
  • Native EPG: expose Stremio Native EPG when a real guide is available.
  • Guide-free operation: create channels directly from your stream sources.
  • Channel matching: match equivalent channels across sources and review their mappings.
  • Channel management: enable or disable channels and reorder stream sources.
  • Web dashboard: configure your instance through a browser.
  • Multi-platform images: support for Linux amd64 and arm64.

Quick start with Docker Compose

Create a compose.yaml file:

services:
  aiolivetv:
    image: mrcanelas/aiolivetv:v0.8.0-beta
    container_name: aiolivetv
    restart: unless-stopped
    ports:
      - "3000:3000"
    env_file:
      - .env
    volumes:
      - ./data:/app/data

The example uses v0.8.0-beta. Select an available version from the Tags tab.

Create a .env file alongside it:

BASE_URL=http://localhost:3000
SECRET_KEY=REPLACE_WITH_A_64_CHARACTER_HEX_KEY
DATABASE_URI=sqlite://./data/db.sqlite

Generate your encryption key:

openssl rand -hex 32

Replace the SECRET_KEY placeholder with the generated value, then start the container:

docker compose up -d

Open the configuration page:

http://localhost:3000/stremio/configure

Add your sources, review the channel mappings, save your configuration and install the generated addon in Stremio.

Configuration

VariablePurpose
BASE_URLAddress that clients use to access your instance, including protocol and port when applicable.
SECRET_KEYA 64-character hexadecimal key used to encrypt stored configurations.
DATABASE_URIDatabase connection URI. SQLite is suitable for a single-container setup; PostgreSQL is also supported.

For access from another device, replace localhost in BASE_URL with your server’s reachable address. For an instance behind a reverse proxy, use its public HTTPS URL.

Keep SECRET_KEY unchanged after the first run and back it up together with ./data. Changing the key makes existing encrypted configurations unreadable.

Redis is optional for a standard single-container deployment. Additional settings can be configured through the dashboard.

Updating

Select the desired image version in compose.yaml, then run:

docker compose pull
docker compose up -d

Prerelease tags such as v0.8.0-beta identify beta builds. They do not receive the stable latest, major or minor aliases.
