mrhide396/texcompiler repository overview

How Works ??

This Docker container is running over an Alpine Linux alpine:3.23 and allows different templates to prebuild a project or just run a shell to compile existent ones.

How to run it ??

The common use for running it is to map a volume to the internal space /latex where the compilation and editing will take place. Running the image as if I could see and hear:

docker run -it --name tex -v ./LOCAL:/latex mrhide396/texcompiler:2.2-alpine

Allowed Templates

Currently, you have the option to use 3 types of templates that are designed to be used in projects at the `University of Valencia. The templates allowed for use are:

  • TFM: It meets all the graphic and bibliographic requirements to write a Final Degree Project.
  • article: This contains the minimum required to write an assignment, including the bibliography.
  • mono: Type of article but with more context and graphic support, like the main page and the structure for the records.

To use one of this templates just use de option -e and the variable TEMPLATE:

docker run -it --name tex -e TEMPLATE=[mono|tfm|article] -v ./LOCAL:/latex mrhide396/texcompiler:2.2-alpine

Compilation

To compile the file and the bibliography into PDF you can use compile.sh a script that allows you to compile and maintain a clean workspace. The script have been added to the path route, which means that you can use the autocomplete to invoke it.

compile.sh main.tex
