Magic The Gathering card prices vary quite a lot. There are cards that are worth well over US$3,000.00, while most are priced below a handful cents.
Deck Price Calculator uses Black Lotus Project API to get the prices for a deck in a simple format.
DeckPrice was written in PHP.
If you have php-cli installed:
# To calculate the price of a deck in cod format (cockatrice format)
php price.php file.cod
# To caulcate the price of a deck in simple txt format
php price.php file.txt
If you do not want to install php-cli and yadda-yadda, you can use the container we have prepared for you.
You can get the container image from docker hub or build it locally.
# To get the image from docker hub
docker pull mribeiro/deckprice
# To build it locally (which is way cooler)
make build-image
Now that you have the image, you can use the shell script we have provided that runs the container:
# To use the docker container to check a deck price
./calc.sh file.cod
# Txt format
./calc.sh file.txt
Or if have masochistic tendencies, you can run the container by hand:
# Using the container to check the price of the Treefolk deck
docker run -i --rm -v $PWD:/data mribeiro/deckprice examples/treefolk.cod
