AEon performs global genetic Ancestry Estimation from genome-wide SNPs. By default, AEon compares variants from your input VCF file against the per-population allele frequencies (AFs) provided in /refs/g1k_allele_freqs.txt. This file contains AFs at 128097 ancestry-informative loci, calculated for the 26 populations represented in the 1000 Genomes Project.
