⁠Docker Containers for Python Code

This repository contains Docker images with Python installed and various combinations of system and pip packages set up. The intention of these images is to provide relatively lightweight containers to run code and ensure a repeatable environment. This can be useful for a local development environment setup, or if running code on a high-performance computing cluster or similar environment with software such as Singularity⁠.

⁠Singularity Usage

To interactively run the images in this repository with Singularity, use the following command:

singularity run --nv docker://nathanhess/python-run:<TAG>

To run a script script.sh inside an image in this repository with Singularity, use the following command:

singularity exec --nv docker://nathanhess/python-run:<TAG> script.sh

Where <TAG> is the desired image tag.
