⁠Spring Microservices on FaaS Platforms - Time service sample app

⁠Overview

This project contains a sample app known as the 'Time service'. It's a simple, but realistic backend service that provides a couple of external REST APIs, built using Java and Spring Boot, and packaged & deployed as Docker container.

This sample app supports the exercise of trialling the re-implementation of a Java/Spring container based backend service to run on serverless/FaaS platforms (such as AWS Lambda) using various supporting frameworks (e.g. AWS libraries/SAM; Spring Cloud function; the 'Serverless' framework etc), including investigating performance concerns (e.g. app start-up aka cold-ssart times; memory usage, etc).
