⁠HEARTH Matter Contact-Motion

Real Matter contact/motion sensor (connectedhomeip) over Ethernet/IPv6.

Real-device analogue: A Matter door/window contact sensor or PIR motion sensor.

Protocol / ports: Matter 1.x over IPv6 (UDP 5540); mDNS (UDP 5353).

⁠What it does / how it works

The real connectedhomeip contact-sensor-app. Publishes Boolean State (open/closed, or motion/no-motion) that a controller or Home Assistant subscribes to.

• Boolean State cluster (contact / occupancy)
• Subscribe-driven state reports
• Commissionable over IPv6

⁠How to use

Commission as for the light; read state: chip-tool booleanstate read state-value <nodeid> 1.

⁠Use in GNS3

• Import the matching .gns3a (File > Import appliance), or docker pull neilphan98/hearth-chip-contact-sensor-app:latest.
• Drag onto your topology, wire to a switch/hub, start. Console: telnet.
• Adapters: 1. Category: guest.
