Convert a supplied local trace into native Chrome Trace Event JSON. Metadata timings may vary between runs; named event/timestamp/duration semantics and each artifact hash are verified separately.

Pinned Perfetto58.2 release. Only Linux amd64 tested. No URL, device, recording, daemon or caller-supplied SQL.

⁠Actual adapter source and original notices

The public immutable companion artifact contains perfetto-trace-json/build-source/ (the actual custom Python adapter, Dockerfile, owned trace fixtures, native tests and verifier), perfetto-trace-json/notices/primary-source/ (complete pinned Perfetto source archive), notices/native-dependency-source/ (pinned SQLite amalgamation, libbacktrace and LLVM demangler source archives), original dependency notices/copyright headers and actual installed runtime notices. The native upstream alone does not contain this custom entrypoint.

Expected bundle SHA256: 28dd438d25bd70e96cf6824e9a8beb472eb83153b51fb1e3f04cfad5af5a0e3a. Extract it and read perfetto-trace-json/SOURCE-DELIVERY.txt and perfetto-trace-json/notices/SOURCE-AND-NOTICES.json for file/source/image/proof hashes. Recipe/catalog delivery links and later status metadata can change without altering runtime bytes; the artifact preserves its recorded source snapshot.

⁠Verification and limits

Six native cases per tool passed: positive, valid empty trace, malformed/missing input, oversized input and existing-output preservation. Two actual bounded private fixture/tool/verifier workflows passed6nodes; downloaded artifacts/verifiers and completion image indexes were checked. One self-owned CounterWork event is2ms; CSV excludes the separate incomplete slice. No app/device was run or recorded and no provider request was made. Unknown trace formats and arbitrary production trace compatibility are not promised.

Input20MiB; total native deadline90seconds;4MiB post-run artifact/log caps. Summary output allows10000name groups, with overflow rejected. These are not peak memory/storage containment guarantees. Native import error statistics are rejected before output. Valid empty inputs may yield CSV headers or metadata-only JSON.

The test driver uses a new result directory, network-none containers and inert supplied traces. Rebuild on Linux amd64 with the pinned Dockerfile; build-time source downloads have pinned hashes, runtime performs no downloads.

⁠License scope

Apache-2.0 native core and original component-specific dependency/runtime terms are retained. The custom first-party adapter follows the existing workflows Proprietary policy; no new grant or component relicense is made. Original installed licenses/copyrights and pinned source-manifest dependency payloads accompany the image. This is not an exhaustive binary SBOM, an assertion every source-manifest component is linked, an independent PGP assertion or a bit-reproducible native build claim.
