nersc/centos-mpi repository overview

This is a CentOS image that can be used as a base for MPI applications. It includes a vanilla build of MPICH 3.2 using the standard GNU compilers. The version corresponds to the base CentOS version.

To use this as a base create a Dockerfile similar to this:

FROM nersc/centos-mpi:7

ADD myapp.c /myapp.c

RUN mkdir /app && mpicc /myapp.c -o /app/myapp

Then build as such docker build -t myapp:latest .

To run with Docker do docker run -it --rm myapp:latest mpirun /app/myapp
