netgain/emedge repository overview

This emedge is a software that runs on your local site. It collects metrics and logics from the IT network and hosts (with emedge-agent installed) and sends them to CloudVista, where you can analyze and visualize your monitoring and performance data. You only need to deploy an instance of emedge per local site.

Simply run the following command to start up a docker container for emedge

docker run -e cv=<cloud-vista-domain-name> -e siteLabel=<mylocalsite> -v <vardir>:/emedge/var netgain/emedge

Where

• cloud-vista-domain-name is the name of your cloud instance e.g. myinstance.cloud-vista.co
• mylocalsite is the name of that you would like to assign for the local site where emedge is running
• vardir the local directory for storage emedge runtime data
