⁠MinIO - Self-Built Docker Image

This is a community-maintained Docker image for MinIO⁠, built automatically from the official source code.

⁠Why This Image?

As of October 2025, MinIO no longer provides official Docker images for the community edition — the minio/minio repository has since been deleted from Docker Hub entirely, along with minio/mc. Pull-by-digest fails too, so old digest pins are unrecoverable from Docker Hub.

This repository builds MinIO from source and publishes multi-architecture images here. See also netvark/mc⁠ for the MinIO client.

⁠Build Information

This image is built:

• On-demand via manual workflow trigger
• From netvark/minio⁠, our full mirror of the MinIO source (12 branches, 523 tags)

Upstream minio/minio is archived and frozen at commit 7aac2a2c (2026-02-12), which is what latest is built from. There is no scheduled build: master can never move again, so a cron would only ever conclude that nothing changed.

⁠Security

⚠️ Important: Always verify the source of your Docker images. This image is built from netvark/minio⁠ — a complete, unmodified mirror of the official MinIO repository⁠ — using GitHub Actions with full build transparency.

Because this image is compiled by us, it has a different digest from the original minio/minio images. If you need the original bytes with digests intact, MinIO's own builds are mirrored at ghcr.io/netvark/minio.
