neugates/neuron repository overview

Neuron

Neuron is a Industrial IoT (IIoT) edge connectivity server for modern big data technology to leverage the power of Industrial 4.0. It can run on all kinds of IoT ultra-low resource hardware, supporting access to dozens of industrial protocols and converting to MQTT protocol to access the cloud-based IIoT platform, and access to multiple devices or applications with various protocols simultaneously. Neuron provides a SQL-based stream processing rule engine to execute AI/ML logic. Make it to be a lightweight and powerful edge server, becoming the leader of the same product in the current market.

Feature

  • Has lower memory footprints, running on low-profile hardware such as Raspberry pi.
  • Create streaming SQL scripts in build-in streaming process engine for AI/ML and control logic.
  • Control industrial devices or make changes to the parameters or tags configuration through API services.
  • Extend more southbound drivers and northbound applications by plugin services.
  • Support access to dozens of industrial equipment with various protocols.
  • Support encryption TLS, HTTPS and employ JWT to ensure the data security in transmission.

Start

docker run -d --name neuron -p 7000:7000 -p 7001:7001 --privileged=true --restart=always neugates/neuron:2.0.0
  • tcp 7000: Used to access the web.
  • tcp 7001: http api port. (api port is web port + 1, e.g. when web port is mapped to 8000, api port should be mapped to 8001)
  • --restart=always: Automatically restart the neuron container when the docker process is restarted.
  • --privileged=true:Easy to troubleshoot problems.
  • --device /dev/ttyUSB0:/dev/ttyS0: Used to map the serial port to docker.
