newtmitch/terraria-server repository overview

I've built this (so far) to create a platform/hosting agnostic environment for running a Terraria server for my kids. I'm running this on Amazon (AWS) EC2, but you can run anywhere else that supports Linux or Docker containers, I imagine. I've included a very simple README on GitHub to show how to run this container, including a --restart command to have the container restart when the server does as well.

Note that the Terraria server itself has less-than-ideal capabilities for saving the world when it receives whatever passes for a SIGHUP via Docker, so there's a potential for data loss if the server stops and the Terraria server hasn't saved in a while. You can use docker attach to get into the server manually and do save before shutting the server down, but that's less than ideal. I don't have a solution for that quite yet.
