nilrecurring/latex-gfonts repository overview

This container helps compiling Latex sources without the need to install all latex packages on your system.
A full latex installation uses quite a lot of space and containerizing the whole installation has many pros.

The base image is Ubuntu Xenial, and includes Texlive Full, the FontAwesome Latex package, and all the Google Fonts.

To use the image, it's advised to save the following as global script, e.g. as docker-latex:

sudo docker run --rm -i --net=none -v "$PWD":/data nilrecurring/latex-gfonts "$@"

Then you can use it like docker-latex lualatex my.tex, or docker-latex pdflatex my.tex.

To see if a font you'd like is already installed, you can run docker-latex fc-list | grep $YOUR_FONT_NAME.
