noam1023/daapd-raspberry-pi repository overview

This is image of a working AirPlay server on RPI model B Uses the docker image from https://github.com/StefanScherer/rpi-forked-daapd

Installing

$ mkdir ~/localdb
$ mkdir ~/media
$ mkdir ~/media/a
$ sudo  mkdir /mnt
$ ln -s  /mnt/iTunes/iTunes\ Media/Music  /home/pi/media/a
  • Pair a remote (installed on my iphone): Select Settings -> "add iTunes library" -> get the 4 digit code e.g.
$ echo "Noam 6\n7481" > ~/media/iphone.remote

Prepare run command :

$ cat run_daapd_docker.sh
docker run -d --net host --name forked-daapd -v /home/pi/media:/media -e DAAPD_NAME=allMusic -v /home/pi/localdb:/var/cache/forked-daapd  -v /mnt:/mnt --restart unless-stopped forked-daapd

Add to /etc/fstab

/dev/sda1 /mnt ntfs ro,uid=1000,gid=1000,umask=22

note: using the above config, if the disk is not found in /dev/sda1 , the linux will not boot !
