⁠How to set up PLC node

⁠Pre-reqs

• Install conan⁠ using pip or brew. Might be as easy as doing:

$ pip install conan

• Please install rust by following the instructions here: https://www.rust-lang.org/tools/install⁠

• Create a conan profile named as cpp20

Example of my profile for Linux (~/.conan2/profiles/cpp20):

build_type=Release
compiler=gcc
compiler.cppstd=20
compiler.libcxx=libstdc++11
compiler.version=13
os=Linux

Example of my profile for Windows (C:\Users${USERNAME}.conan2\profiles\cpp20):

compiler=msvc
compiler.cppstd=20
compiler.runtime=dynamic
compiler.version=193
os=Windows

⁠Building

⁠Step 1 - Cloning source code

Clone plc-node in a directory

git clone [email protected]:novarctechnologies/plc-node.git

⁠Step 2 - Retrieve all dependencies

For this example, we're using RelWithDebInfo (Release with Debug Info). You can also select Debug or Release

.\build.ps1 -action deps -config RelWithDebInfo

⁠Step 3 - Generate build scripts

.\build.ps1 -action generate -config RelWithDebInfo

⁠Step 4 - Build plc-node

.\build.ps1 -action build -config RelWithDebInfo
