ogamma/logger-pi64-dev repository overview

This is a development build of the ogamma Visual Logger for OPC⁠, designed to run on Docker hosts with 64-bit ARM CPUs (such as Raspberry Pi and Siemens Simatic IoT2050). Tested with Debian 11 (bullseye).

The Community Edition of the product is free (has a limit on the number of collected variables up to 64).

Its main features are:

• Collect data from OPC UA Servers;

• Store that data in one of the following databases:

  • TimescaleDB (PostgreSQL database optimized to store time-series data), or regular version of PostgreSQL,
  • InfluxDB (versions 1.7, 1.8, 2.0 and 3.0 are supported),
  • Confluent: Cloud and Enterprise,
  • Apache Kafka,
  • Microsoft SQL (not supported yet, TODO)
  • MySQL,
  • SQLite.
  • MQTT Brokers, such as:
    • Eclipse Mosquitto
    • Microsoft Azure IoT Hub
    • AWS IoT Broker
    • Google Cloud IoT Core MQTT Bridge
    • IBM Watson IoT Platform.

• Visualize data using Grafana, acting as a REST back-end for its SimpleJson data source plugin. It can fetch real-time or historical data directly from OPC UA Servers, or from the database.

• Analyze data using queries.

Note that to enable all the features, third-party Docker images are also required. They can be easily pulled and started by using Docker Compose configuration files available at GitHub: https://github.com/onewayautomation/ogamma-logger/tree/master/docker⁠
