openlab/status-bot repository overview

Provides a endpoint for UptimeRobot⁠ to contact when a service goes up/down, authenticated by a secret key. Currently powering OL Status Bot⁠.

nano tweets.env
docker run -it --rm -p 3000:3000 --env-file=tweets.env openlab/status-bot

Name	Usage
TW_CONSUMER_KEY	Your twitter consumer key
TW_CONSUMER_SECRET	Your twitter consumer secret
TW_ACCESS_KEY	Your twitter access key
TW_ACCESS_SECRET	Your twitter access secret
SECRET	Your authentication secret, requests must pass this as `{"secret": VALUE}`

Generate credentials at apps.twitter.com⁠

The app exposes two endpoints

GET: / is a hello world endpoint to let you know the app is running
POST: /tweet/uptimerobot is an endpoint for uptimerobot to ping and post a tweet
