⁠OpsHome Docker Probe

This image runs OpsHome Docker Probe. It is not the OpsHome NOC iPhone app or backend.

OpsHome Docker Probe connects your private homelab network to OpsHome NOC so you can monitor private services, infrastructure assets, and Docker container events from your iPhone without exposing your network to the public internet.

OpsHome NOC is built for homelab operators, self-hosted users, NAS owners, Proxmox users, Docker hosts, and small private infrastructure environments that need a practical NOC-style operations view.

⁠What Docker Probe Does

Docker Probe runs inside your private network and connects outbound to OpsHome Cloud over HTTPS.

You do not need:

• Inbound port forwarding
• Public IP access to private services
• A public reverse proxy for internal dashboards
• Firewall rules that allow OpsHome Cloud to connect into your LAN

Docker Probe is used for:

• Private Monitors for HTTP, HTTPS, and TCP services
• Asset Sources for Synology, Proxmox, Linux hosts, and Docker hosts
• Docker container monitoring, including restarts, recoveries, abnormal states, and OOM kills
• Homelab NOC workflows that combine public monitors, private services, assets, alerts, and event timelines

⁠Common Use Cases

• Monitor a NAS admin panel without exposing DSM to the internet
• Monitor Proxmox VE nodes, VMs, and private services from inside your network
• Monitor Linux hosts and Docker services running on home servers or mini PCs
• Review Docker container event timelines for restarts, recoveries, abnormal states, and OOM kills
• Keep private HTTP, HTTPS, and TCP services visible without opening inbound ports

⁠How to get your Docker Probe configuration

Pull the image:

docker pull opshomenoc/opshome-noc:latest

Create a Docker Probe in the OpsHome NOC app. The app generates a probe-specific Docker Compose configuration based on your selected setup options.

Copy the generated configuration from the app and run it on the Docker host inside your private network.
