ServChart agent: reports a host’s Docker containers, networks and Compose stacks to your hub.
467
The agent for ServChart, a self-hosted live map of your Docker infrastructure.
It reads this host's Docker state (read-only API calls), removes anything sensitive, and sends it to your ServChart hub every 60 seconds. It's tiny, with no dependencies beyond Python's standard library.
Get the exact command, with your token filled in, from + Add host in the hub:
docker run -d --name servchart-agent --restart unless-stopped \
-v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock:ro \
-e SERVCHART_HUB=https://servchart.example.com \
-e SERVCHART_TOKEN=sc_... \
opticodev/servchart-agent:latest
Preview exactly what it would send, without sending anything:
docker run --rm -v /var/run/docker.sock:/var/run/docker.sock:ro \
opticodev/servchart-agent --stdout
Sends: container names, images, state and health, networks, ports, mounts, and Compose stack, service and folder.
Never sends: environment variables, commands, or file contents. Secret-looking labels are redacted. Set SERVCHART_HIDE_PATHS=1 to also hide host paths.
Connects out only, so no ports are opened on the host. For stricter setups, point DOCKER_HOST at a read-only docker-socket-proxy (see the README).
Also on PyPI: pipx install servchart-agent
