This is a replacement for the official webhippie/mariadb image which fails to start on my machine:
2021-03-20 20:09:05 0 [ERROR] InnoDB: preallocating 10485760 bytes for file /var/lib/mysql/ibdata1 failed with error 95
2021-03-20 20:09:05 0 [ERROR] InnoDB: Could not set the file size of '/var/lib/mysql/ibdata1'. Probably out of disk space
2021-03-20 20:09:05 0 [ERROR] InnoDB: Database creation was aborted with error Generic error. You may need to delete the ibdata1 file before trying to start up again.
The official one is based on alpine:edge, which is presumably the culprit, so I replaced it with alpine:3.12. Namely, in source Dockerfile I replaced
FROM webhippie/alpine:latest-amd64
with
FROM webhippie/alpine:3.12-amd64
And this worked for me.
