Angular 6 application image for Oteemo Training
811
This contains an angular 6 app and dependencies necessary to run the image upload web application.
When running the application you may choose to run it as a daemon or just use the normal run command. Please specify a port with the -p flag. By default the application itself will map to port 4200 inside the container.
The application accepts a JSON file at runtime called 'environment.json' which will point the front-end application to the REST API service operating on the back-end. This JSON contains configurable environment variables such as host, port, and more. The format is shown below:
{ "production": "false", "settings": { "baseAddress": "http://0.0.0.0", "port": "8900", "apiUrl": "/v0.1/pedestrian_detector" } }
'Production' is a flag used to tell the angular application whether you are deploying the application to production or not. By default it is set to false. For the purpose of the course you will not need to change this value as the Dockerfile commands take care of running the actual angular application with appropriate Angular CLI commands for you.
The 'baseAddress', and 'port' will be values you create when deploying the back-end REST service. Please ensure they are the same. The apiURL should not change, but please ask for the value if there are any problems.
