ROS images for the Jetson Nano
Installing stuff is hard. Instead, we can install all the stuff correctly on one machine, and then create an 'image' of the machine for deployment on all other machines.
To pull an image from the registry:
$ docker pull packbionics/ros:tag-name
To run the image:
$ docker run -it packbionics/ros:tag-name
(TODO: camera setup args in docker run)
Once the container is running, you should see it by running
$ docker container ls in a separate terminal
Inside the container, start ROS:
# roscore
This will block the current terminal session. To start another terminal in the container:
$ docker exec -it container_name bash
To restart an exited container:
$ docker start -i container_name
After installing stuff in the container, commit the container to an image:
$ docker commit container_name packbionics/ros:tag-name
Push image to the registry:
$ docker image push packbionics/ros:tag-name
