I'm an IT trainer I built this to use as a GNS3 client when demonstrating various networking tools. To the standard alpine build I have added

nano - text editor - more intuitive for those unfamiliar with unix editors net-tools - legacy ifconfig iproute2 - more recent ip commands bind-tools - includes nslookup and dig for dns debugging radvd - router advertisement daemon for IPv6 (before starting the /var/run/radvd directory must be created - run "radvd -d4" to see debugs) Also requires a correctly cobfigured /etc/radvd.conf dhclient - the standard busybox client (udhcpc) doesn't seem to read the IPv6 DNS information from IPv6 Router Advertisements (I'm not fully familiar with the udhcpc) so I may not have it configured correctly) I run this with dhclient -6 -S -v -6 for ipv6 -S to do information request -v for verbose
