A small image with Sipcmd2 installed
787
This is a small Docker image with sipcmd2 installed. I used a two stage build - compiling with Ubuntu-Bionic and then copying to alpaquita. (Ubuntu-Bionic appears to be the last release that included the opal libraries needed for the build).
If started with a login shell (sh -l) The root user's profile will run sipcmd2 with some default parameters. If you start with a normal shell you can look at /root/.profile to see what I've done. The root profile serves my purpose but I had a very specific goal. (When executing this container I set /root to be a volume so that I can change the .profile as needed.)
It accepts the following ENVIRONMENT variables which will change the command line.
CALL SUBSCRIBER PASSWORD SERVER PROXY GATEKEEPER GATEWAY COMMAND MESSAGE LOOP
If CALL is set sipcmd2 will place a call to the URI in the variable before going into receive mode. e.g. CALL=bob@testlab
Sipcmd2 itself uses the terminology GATEWAY and GATEKEEPER rather than the more normal sip PROXY and SERVER The container allows either to be used - you don't need to supply all four!
Although sipcmd2 itself can loop, I have called it inside a WHILE loop - this allows me to record an play back a file on the same call. (sipcmd2 would add a suffix to the recorded file but not the played one) LOOP is set to the maximum number of iterations of the loop
