I wanted to create my own internal wikis for organizing my notes and thoughts. There was no need for supporting the latest version of Gitit so I built this from the Debian package as that was faster. Support for mathematical expressions has been added (i.e. Mathjax). This container is not appropriate as a public facing wiki. (In other words I have not spent any time on security or optimization as I did not need these.)

The container comes with a set of utility scripts which can be copied onto the host via the following command:

  docker run --rm -v "$PWD:/home/gitit/host" paullamar3/gitit-pkg:v0.10 utils

The fastest way to get up and running is to run something like:

  docker run -p 80:5001 paullamar3/gitit-pkg:v0.10
