⁠Planet CRS Registry

⁠Introduction

Well-known text representation of coordinate reference systems (WKT or WKT-CRS) is a text markup language for representing spatial reference systems and transformations between spatial reference systems.

It exists several coordinate reference systems (CRS) for each body in the solar system. For interoperability issues between the data providers, the IAU identifiers must be defined. Each IAU identifier is related to a CRS, which is defined in the WKT-crs standard. The use of the WKT-crs allows the GIS tools to understand the semantic of the CRS definition. In addition to that, the use of this standard is important so that the IAU identifier can be standardized at OGC later on.

⁠Usage

To deploy and run the registry.

     docker pull pdssp/planet_crs_registry

⁠Run the registry as Http

     docker run --name=pdssp-planet_crs_registry -p 8080:8080 pdssp/planet_crs_registry

⁠Run the registry as Https

Create the SSL certificate

mkdir -p /tmp/conf
cd /tmp/conf
mkcert -cert-file cert.pem -key-file key.pem 0.0.0.0 localhost 127.0.0.1 ::1

Edit the configuration file

vi /tmp/conf/planet_crs_registry.conf

And set the configuration file as follows:

[HTTPS]
host = 0.0.0.0
port = 5000
ssl_keyfile = key.pem
ssl_certfile = cert.pem

Create the container

     docker run --name=pdssp-planet_crs_registry -p 5000:5000 -v /tmp/conf:/conf pdssp/planet_crs_registry

⁠Run the registry as both Http and Https

Create the SSL certificate

mkdir -p /tmp/conf
cd /tmp/conf
mkcert -cert-file cert.pem -key-file key.pem 0.0.0.0 localhost 127.0.0.1 ::1

Edit the configuration file

vi /tmp/conf/planet_crs_registry.conf

And set the configuration file as follows:

[HTTP]
host = 0.0.0.0
port = 8080

[HTTPS]
host = 0.0.0.0
port = 5000
ssl_keyfile = key.pem
ssl_certfile = cert.pem

Create the container

     docker run --name=pdssp-planet_crs_registry -p 5000:5000 -p 8080:8080 -v /tmp/conf:/conf pdssp/planet_crs_registry

⁠Stop the registry

     docker stop pdssp-planet_crs_registry

⁠Restart the registry

     docker start pdssp-planet_crs_registry
