Sample "Hello world" containerized web server in Flask/Python.

This application is available as two OCI images, which respond to requests with different version numbers:

• perteghella/hello-app-flask:1.0 ( python:3.11 alpine3.17 )
• perteghella/hello-app-flask:1.0-distroless ( python:3.11 alpine3.17 distroless multistage)
• perteghella/hello-app-flask:2.0 ( python:3.11 alpine3.17)

⁠How to use this image with Docker cli

Download the proper tagged image docker pull perteghella/hello-app-flask:TAG

Run as daemon exposing port 5000 on localhost port 8000

docker pull perteghella/hello-app-flask:1.0

docker run -d -p 8000:5000 perteghella/hello-app-flask:1.0

Verify that the server is running and respond

curl http://127.0.0.1:8000
