⁠picpeak — Backend (API)

picpeak is an open-source, self-hosted photo-sharing platform for photographers, with an optional CRM / accounting suite. This image is the backend / API (Node.js + Express). It runs together with the picpeak/frontend⁠ image, PostgreSQL and Redis.

⁠Supported tags

• latest — latest stable release
• x.y.z — a pinned release (recommended for production — keep backend and frontend on the same tag)
• main — latest build from main (may be unstable)
• Architectures: linux/amd64, linux/arm64 (x86 and ARM NAS)

⁠Quick start

picpeak runs as a small stack (backend + frontend + PostgreSQL + Redis) and finishes setup with a first-run web wizard. Use the maintained compose — it auto-generates secrets and wires the services:

# edit .env — DB_USER, DB_NAME, TZ, FRONTEND_URL / ADMIN_URL (your domain), SMTP_*
docker compose up -d

Then open the frontend (default http://your-host:3000⁠) and complete the setup wizard.

⁠Ports & volumes

• Container port 3000 (default host 3001); the frontend reverse-proxies API calls to it.
• Persist: /app/storage (photos, PDFs, backups), /app/data, /app/events, /app/logs, and the PostgreSQL volume.
