This image contains base Ubuntu Server 16.04 LTS OS with Heartbeat, and made the source code freely available under the MIT⁠.

⁠Docker image details:-

Images includes:

• Ubuntu: Ubuntu Server 16.04 LTS built using pixelhyperlinkdockers/ubuntu image

Images includes Ubunu Packages:

• apt-transport-https: https download transport for APT
• heartbeat: Lightweight Shipper for Uptime Monitoring

⁠Pre-Setup

$ mkdir -p data_storage/lib/heartbeat data_storage/log/heartbeat

⁠Building Container using image

$ docker build -t pixelhyperlinkdockers/heartbeat ./
OR
$ docker-compose build

⁠Running the Container

$ docker run --name heartbeat -ti -v ./data_storage/log/heartbeat:/var/log/heartbeat -v ./data_storage/lib/heartbeat:/var/lib/heartbeat pixelhyperlinkdockers/heartbeat
OR
$ docker-compose up -d

⁠Metricbeat by default sends data to logstash:5044
