⁠PixieNote Docker demo

This disposable image lets you evaluate the PixieNote Drupal Recipe⁠ on your own computer. It is built from the Drupal Official Image. On first start it installs a fresh Drupal 11.4 Minimal site with SQLite, applies the Recipe, rebuilds private node-access grants, and adds five synthetic sample records for contacts, bookmarks, notes, scheduling, and service links. It contains no information from any live site.

The latest image is published for linux/amd64 and linux/arm64 only after each architecture passes a fresh-pull smoke test. The Recipe source revision is recorded in the image metadata. PixieNote is currently a development Recipe; this image is for evaluation and does not imply a stable Drupal.org release.

⁠Pull and run

Wait for the initial installation to finish. Open http://localhost:8080/user/login⁠. The username is demo; the generated password appears in the container log. Keep the log private. The account can evaluate the PixieNote screens and edit the synthetic examples. The RSS feed definitions are included; feed articles appear only after a refresh that can reach those external feeds.

The SQLite database and private-file directory are outside the Apache document root. The generated password and Drupal settings are kept in a root-only directory. The loopback port binding is intentional: this is not a public hosting or production image. Do not enter real personal data.

⁠Stop and reset

docker stop pixienote-demo

Because the command uses --rm and no volume, stopping removes the site and its contents. Run it again for a fresh installation and password. If port 8080 is occupied, use -p 127.0.0.1:8081:80 and open localhost port 8081. Pulling a newer latest does not update a running container; stop it and start a new one.
