⁠Quick summary

This is the Dockerized version of the Shiny app Wordcloud⁠. It is an adaptation of the original Docker image⁠ which starts building the Docker container from r-base. This alternative Dockerized version starts building the Docker container from rocker/shiny instead.

⁠Usage

This Shiny app runs on port 80. To run this Shiny app on your computer:

docker run --rm -p 80:80 pjastam/shiny-wordcloud

Now go to your webbrowser and enter http://127.0.0.1/⁠, http://localhost⁠ or the IP address of your VPS to verify that the Shiny app is running.

You can run the container on other ports. It can happen that there is some service running on PORT 80, as Apache or Nginx. To run the app on port 3838 for example, you can use:

docker run --rm -p 3838:80 pjastam/shiny-wordcloud

Now go to your webbrowser and enter http://127.0.0.1:3838/⁠, http://localhost:3838/⁠ or http://IPADDRESS:3838/⁠ (where IPADDRESS is the IP address of your VPS) to verify that the Shiny app is running.

⁠IMPORTANT

This project is not an alternative Shiny server. It exposes port 80 (not 3838) and is intented to serve only single shiny apps.
