⁠Turtle Miner⁠

⁠Quick start

To quickly get started running a 24/7 turtle Miner, just adapt this command with your information :

docker run -itd --restart=always -e POOL_URL=turtlecoin.herominers.com:10381 -e POOL_USER=TRTLv1kxF9T3kdyeaJ1xqbRaSAC6huGpDhhLp1fSqwyW7ovWdR43cCgcLZZUUeWVAieMEnVUdHv1oLd5wwy3GnkYeNLLKf4x9ae --name turtle pmietlicki/turtle-miner

⁠Configuration variables with default values

You can also use config json file by putting it inside /home/miner/config/config.json
To generate a config file, you can use the generator⁠.
For example, if the config.json file is inside the /home/user/xmrig/ folder, use this command :

docker run -v /home/user/xmrig/config.json:/home/miner/config/config.json -d pmietlicki/turtle-miner ./xmrigDaemon \
     --config /home/miner/config/config.json

Only 2 config variables are mandatory : POOL_URL and POOL_USER

Note for MAX_CPU: This option just change the thread count. If you have just one core, it will use one thread, so it will be always 100% For 2 cores, minimum is 50% For 4, 25%.

Note for Time: Default Timezone is GMT +0

Use your own configuration.

  • Create your wallet⁠
  • Choose a pool
  • Run container

You can customize xmrig options⁠.

You will then have a running turtle miner that uses all the available resources for mining.

⁠Example I: Weekend

For a container that will only run the miner on weekend days.

⁠Example II: Daily from 21.00-06.00

It could be interesting to power on a miner during off-work time. The example bellow will fire the miner everyday from 21.00-06.00.

⁠Example III: Workdays from 21.00-06.00 & Weekend whole day

If you want to achieve a complex time scheduling to maximize your profit. Let's setup a schedule that works from monday - friday (21.00-06.00) and on saturday & sunday the entire day. To achieve this requirement we have to create two containers, one for the working days and one for the weekend.

docker run -itd -e POOL_URL='turtlecoin.herominers.com:10381' -e POOL_USER='{YOUR_WALLET_ID}' -e USE_SCHEDULER='true' -e START_TIME='2100' -e STOP_TIME='0600' -e DAYS='Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday' pmietlicki/turtle-miner

⁠General usage

To see the output from the miner, run one of:

$ docker logs -t -f turtle
$ docker-compose logs

To update the miner:

$ docker stop turtle
$ docker rm turtle
$ docker pull pmietlicki/turtle-miner
$ docker run -d --mount ...

To stop the miner:

$ docker stop turtle
$ docker-compose stop

To restart the miner:

$ docker restart turtle
$ docker-compose restart
