⁠Docker Clojure

This repository defines a Docker image for running Clojure applications.

⁠Deprecation Notice

This project was started back when the official Java and Clojure images were based on Ubuntu.

By using Debian Jessie, we were able to cut images sizes significantly. At the time of this writing in the Summer of our discontent (2016), the official packages now offer Alpine Linux variants which are 50% smaller still.

The official clojure:lein-2.6.1-alpine currently weighs in at a sprightly 173 MB, eliminating the justification for this image's continued existence. This version is now based on the official clojure image and prints out a deprecation notice as a service to anyone building from our image as a base.
