⁠Overview

APIC's Slim Shady is a containerized version of APIC's Slim CLI tool. The usecases folder is a catalog of common usecases for apic slim on k8s (Kubernetes). These k8s usecases will result in configuration being generated. If there is a usecase that is not found in the folder. Dont worry! Your boi slim shady has you covered. :sunglasses:

⁠How Does it Work

There is a dockerfile that creates a containerized version of the tool⁠. The dockerfile was built and pushed to dockerhub@popcor255/apic-slim⁠ for eveyone to use.

⁠Running APIC's Slim Shady Locally

Note: docker must be installed for this to work.

⁠How do I get the container?

You simply just pull the image from docker hub.

docker pull popcor255/apic-slim
docker run -d -t popcor255/apic-slim

⁠How do I use the container locally?

Run the following commands.

docker run -d -t --name=slim-shady popcor255/apic-slim
docker exec -it slim-shady bash
apic-slim $WHATEVER_COMMAND

⁠Remember to clean up!

Remember to stop the container when your done using it.

#you might need to `exit` your container before running these commands
docker container stop slim-shady

To start the container again

docker container start slim-shady
