⁠Dockerized JGit

This docker image allows you to run JGit⁠ from inside a container, without the need for installing java in the host system.

I made this image basically to use JGit's S3 capabilities.

⁠Usage

The command runs using the repo volume as the work directory internally, so be sure to mount your current working directory in the host system to this volume.

$ docker run --rm -ti -v "$PWD":/repo potz/jgit log  # equivalent of jgit log

To make things easier, you should probably add a function to your .bash_profile file:

jgit() {
	docker run -ti --rm -v "$PWD":/repo potz/jgit $@
}

Then you can just...

$ jgit log
