⁠Overview

This image is based on certbot/certbot:latest with the following additions:

• VOLUME /var/www/html to define the Web Root
• VOLUME /etc/letsencrypt for the access to the certificates
• ENV HOURS to define the renewal period in hours

When you start the container the automatic renewal is executed in the intervals which are defined by the HOURS environment variable. If nothing is defined we renew every 6 hours.

If you dont have any cerificates yet you can run docker exec -it /bin/sh and execute the certbot command and get a manual certificate as documented in https://certbot.eff.org/docs/using.html⁠
