⁠Running

To run this image, use the following command:

$ docker run -d -p 5984:5984 psexton/couchdb
ec8f6602474d14a75f8839de0fbf42edb87f68e6cf769e910d772df58843b074

Now you can test it by making an HTTP request to port 5984 on the whale:

$ curl localhost:5984
{"couchdb":"Welcome","uuid":"22d91d0d0036cb8bdd6c6746b4a054e0","version":"1.6.1","vendor":{"version":"1.6.1","name":"The Apache Software Foundation"}}

⁠Details##

• This image has been tested for shellshock vulnerabilities⁠ and IS patched.
• Couch runs as a non-root daemon user (couchdb) and has a home directory at /var/couchdb/.
• Setup altered to listen on all network interfaces instead of the default of only listening on the loopback interface (localhost / 127.0.0.1).
• It's still in admin party mode (no auth), so be careful.
