⁠Elasticsearch Image

⁠Usage

docker run[ -p <port>:<port>...][ -v <volume>:<volume>...][ -e <env>=<env>...] qasymphony/elasticsearch:<version>

⁠Description

An Elasticsearch Image. By default, it will start elasticsearch with configuration file in /conf volume, data and log in /data and /logs volumes respectively and bind to port 9200 for HTTP API and 9300 for internal communication.

⁠Volumes

• /conf configuration file storage.
• /data data storage.
• /logs log storage.
• /plugins plugins directory.

⁠Ports

• 9200 it's the default and recommended port that Elasticsearch image will listen for HTTP requests.
• 9300 this is the port that Elasticsearch uses for internal communication such as clustering and node discovery.

⁠Environment Variables

• ES_CONF the configuration file location relative to /conf volume. The default value is elasticsearch.yml.
• ES_JAVA_OPTS override JVM's settings for Elasticsearch instance.
• ES_HOME the installation location of Elasticsearch. This is set by the image and should no be changed.

⁠Extra

• The image will run elasticsearch by default and log the output to stdout. It will override binding address, port, as well as data, logs and plugins directories in the configuration file to the default ones.
• We can run another command by specify an executables as

  docker run qasymphony/elasticsearch:<version> /bin/bash
