⁠Custom Docker Image with op CLI and Docker CLI

This Docker image is designed to facilitate CI/CD pipelines and automation tasks that require both the op CLI tool for interacting with 1Password and the Docker CLI for managing Docker containers. It's built on top of the lightweight and secure debian:buster-slim base image, ensuring a minimal footprint while providing the essential tools for DevOps workflows.

1Password CLI (op): Pre-installed op CLI allows for secure access and management of 1Password secrets, enabling automated scripts and applications to securely fetch credentials and other sensitive data.

Docker CLI: Includes the Docker CLI, enabling users to build, run, and manage Docker containers directly from within the image. This is particularly useful for CI/CD pipelines that require Docker operations. Security and Stability: Based on debian:buster-slim, offering a stable and secure environment for your operations.

CI/CD Pipelines: Ideal for GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or any CI/CD platform that supports Docker. Use it to manage Docker containers and securely access secrets stored in 1Password for deploying applications, managing configurations, and more.

⁠Getting Started

To pull the image:

docker pull your-docker-hub-username/your-image-name:tag

To run the image and access its shell:

docker run -it your-docker-hub-username/your-image-name:tag /bin/bash

Inside the container, you can use the op CLI to interact with 1Password and the Docker CLI for container management.

Fetching a secret from 1Password:
