qxf2rohand/snmpsim repository overview

This image includes:

• snmpsim
• Python and Python Pip.

One can use this image to simulate snmp agent.

Running the image

$ docker run --rm -d -p 161:161/udp -e PORT= 161 qxf2rohand/snmpsim:snmpsim

#**NOTE:**The image runs in detached mode.

#NOTE: User can change the port number by changing the PORT and -p

**Ex:-**docker run --rm -d -p 6464:6464/udp -e PORT= 6464 qxf2rohand/snmpsim:snmpsim

To query snmp agent use snmpwalk

Install snmp in the Host machine, on Ubuntu

$ sudo apt-get install snmp.

$ snmpwalk -On -v2c -c recorded/linux-full-walk localhost:161 1.3.6
