raintank-probe is the collector agent for the worldping⁠ service by Raintank inc.

Customers using the Worldping platform can deploy their own private probes to use for collecting network performance data to compliment the numerous public probes deployed around the world.

Deploying a private probe is as simple as running the container, passing your Grafana.net apiKey and the probes unique name as environment variables. If you don't already have a Grafana.Net apiKey or cant don't know what it is, create one⁠.

docker run -e RTPROBE_API_KEY=<Your Grafana.net ApiKey> -e RTPROBE_NAME=<PROBE name> raintank/raintank-probe 

You will now see the probe listed in the worldping-app running on your Grafana server and can now assign endpoint checks to run on this probe.
